Here it is - "Delusion", a bit of an explanation (and pictures!) about what my gift is: http://auryn-beorn.blogspot.com/2013/03/delusion.html

What a friend just told me, reminds me of just *one* of the many reasons why I decided to stop making customs in scripting.
- Customer B gets in touch with her, because he wrote a script but it doesn't work as he would like.
- She modifies this script that HE wrote (a source of trouble: you end up being blamed for problems you never created.)
- She sends the modification back to B, warning that she's not had time to try it (so the discerning mind should expect that, most likely, there might be problems.)
- She also explains to him how to carefully test the script.
- B replies back when my friend was offline. Despite of the "User offline" messages, he continues to ask "are you online?"
- Not having an answer, B threatens my friend with "telling the truth" in her profile feed. The "User offline" messages continue to pile on his IM window.
And of course... Almost all of the problems are in B's code, and B *never* tested the script as he should have done.

Yesterday I tried to upload a couple of snapshots, but it seems they fell under the snapshots-issue that was affecting many people on the feeds. Then I saw that some people were able to, at least, get the link to them, even if they never did show on their feeds. How did you get the links? Thanks and chocolate cookies in advance :-)

(That translation to Spanish, translated back to English, says: "The hand has to be washed, don't bleach don't fall, the iron is neat." - "Mano", if understood as the Mexican "manito", gives a whole new meaning to "Mano se lava": "John Doe washes himself".)

I'm sure that it's not the only group doing so, but this morning, quite some full permissions creators have been warned of the existence of a specific group devoted to freely distributing our licensed work. Reporting is necessary, but the root of the problem is the lack of education about what full permissions/copy-transfer means.
Since education is kind of my field, I'll try to help making it clear:
Copy/Transfer, Full Permissions DO NOT entitle to freely distribute the assets. We have to sell the assets that way so you can sell/gift your creations made with them, provided you've correctly set their permissions for next owner. Your creations. Not ours.
You purchase a license of use with some restrictions, which are specified at the point of sale and included with your purchase, and that you agree upon payment.
You are not allowed to freely distribute our work in copy/transfer or full permissions state.
It's that simple.

If I could comment on the feed of the person that has just said "If you choose to believe what has been said about me, without asking me anything, then I guess you're too shallow to be of interest to me.", I would reply "LOL". I asked her, because I wanted to know of HER evidence and reasons. After not having an answer, I asked her again, several times. This person said "Picture me giving a damn". And still, I asked her more. The consequence? I was muted by this person :-)

One of the reasons why I am okay with drama is that the line that separates "drama" from "no drama" is subjective, and often used as a weapon to silence opinions and thoughts that we don't want to hear, or that we don't want to see made public.
This doesn't mean I will have infinite patience, but I will try not to use "cut the drama" as an "argument" to silence you, by making you look like an emotional gossip fool, just because you're trying to put your thoughts into words. (I begin to think that same way as there it is the "Godwin fallacy" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reductio_ad_Hitlerum and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law , there should be also the "Drama fallacy" - Yes, there's the "thought terminating cliche fallacy" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thought-terminating_clich%C3%A9#Thought-terminating_clich.C3.A9 , but perhaps it could be added as a corollary - "and if you do this, you are a drama monger".)

Fallacy of the Day:
A: Your reasoning falls into this, this, this and this other fallacy, at least.
B: Irrelevant. By the way, letting someone die because they are disabled IS violence... So much for being "against all violence."
At no time, A has mentioned her opinions about the topic discussed, and has merely outlined some mistakes in the reasoning. As a response, B implies that A agrees with letting someone die because they are disabled. Yes, that is a fallacy. You're welcome :-)

My SL Feed - January 2013
From First, to Last, all of my SL Feed posts from January 2013. Some of them have fun links :-)
Unconditional loyalty. Is it something we should give to those that just use us for their own benefit, then forget about us when they don't need from our work? I say, no. The difficult part? Realizing that you're being used. Let's be real: Who wants to acknowledge that is being used, to oneself? We will always think we're smarter than that. (Reality, of course, has a different version of the story, called "facts".)
[Link to the original post in my feed]
This link was previously posted by Pep in his feed: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-20896966 When I read it, sadly, I wasn't shocked at all, but when I read this quote in that web page: "When you see a woman straddle, she looks like a man. But if she sits side-saddle, she looks like a woman." I shook my head. For a moment, I felt like if I was reading any of the books about Gor. (And yes, I have my own pace to read the feeds.)

My SL Feed - Posts from 2012
From Newer, to Older, almost all of my SL Feed posts from 2012. Some of them have fun links :-)
The end of this year brings me a wonderful image: the tips of my tulips coming out from the ground. There's a promise of life in the flowers that will soon blossom. I thought I would never achieve it, but once again, I proved to myself "never say never".

Yaaaaaay! That white sort-of-a-shelf is my first mesh object, built from scratch in Blender. I know it's a pretty simple object, but I'm quite excited! All the woods are aligned on my first test! And the LI is just 0.5. Double yay! :-))))

It scares me the time I've needed until I've realized what is wrong here: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_memix5yc7V1qigfjto1_400.gif (I guess I was expecting a cat to jump there or something.)

I hadn't realized about all the work done in the last five months until setting up this year for the SL Christmas Expo. Everything I wanted to do, I had it covered thanks to my (recent) previous work. It doesn't mean I will stall, it only means that, for once, I devoted my hardest efforts to someone that would appreciate them. Like, myself. Which is harder, more complicated and way less selfish than how it sounds.

Yay modify shoes. In the past I could remove the invisiprim scripts to cut down the lag, and nowadays I can remove the (now unnecessary) invisiprim themselves.

There is just one way to achieve that nobody realizes that you've copied, pasted, and changed words: do not copy and paste.

External beauty in RL is ephemeral. In SL, external beauty can be bought. From this, I have to conclude that if you feel threatened by someone else's external beauty, specially the SL one, then you really have nothing interesting inside.

The fact of something like this not being suitable in a (specific) PG area still boggles my mind. For so many reasons I can't decide if listing them by importance or alphabetically.

My brother uses to send me links to make me laugh. This one http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/5415024_700b_v1.jpg has made me to recall of something even more fun: the "canned unicorn meat" was an April 1st joke to crack up ( http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/unicorn-meat.shtml ), but what was even more hilarious, is that they got a cease and desist letter for slogan infringement: http://www.thinkgeek.com/blog/2010/06/officially-our-bestever-cease.html (Things like this happen when one takes oneself too seriously.)

I really "love" the "straw man" fallacy. Some persons just devote so much effort beating the things you have NOT said that make me wonder about "understanding what you read" being mandatory for kids at schools.

Today, as expected, my secret alt has found out at one class at Builder's Brewery that the instructor, usually unable of spelling correctly even if her life depends on it... talks Aurynese! Very soon, the reasons behind my resignation, and the shame on those looking aside instead of taking action. (Yes, I'm explaining... and when the full story is published, the bad memories will finally be left behind.)
[Link to the original post in my feed]
Some things are just sad. Today I've left Builder's Brewery. I'm still pondering about making open my resignation letter. I have nothing to hide and one thing to regret: having had under my wing the instructor that has provoked my final decision to leave. I wish I had known. But such is life. Time to move on.

Beggars will not stop begging, but here it is a thought: when they beg in group chats, don't reply. Ban them from your parcel if you wish, AR them, mute them... but don't reply. If you reply, they have instant access to yet another profile to check for more free groups to join... to beg in them. If they want to beg, leave to them the work of finding more groups... don't make it easy for them!

Yaaaaayyyy... I said it loud voice! -> [00:01:33] Auryn Beorn: For objects you should try PASSIVE - but anyway, for help you should ask to the group, not me. I take interruptions in IM very badly when I'm trying to help in group :-) (I know, this might sound rude for some, but when I'm talking in the group, and helping in the group, if you drag my attention to yourself, you're being detrimental to the group, and the group is missing from the exchange we could have - that's why my rule about NOT answering you if you IM me because you've seen me helping in group - if I'm helping in group is because I want THE GROUP to have a benefit - don't be that selfish, ok?)
