My SL Feed - June 2013

From First, to Last, all of my SL Feed posts from June 2013. Some of them have fun links :-)

At times, I would like to flag illiteracy as "inappropriate content."

Very simple model for a class project. It will introduce our next steps in Blender (my students will kill me.)

"What are these pasties filled with?"
"One is chicken, the other is meat."
(RL, that place.)

Today, Petite it is! I will go to Gor sims and peek under the warriors' kilts. (It's been my pleasure to meet you all.)

I don't tire of reading this post: http://slchatter.wordpress.com/2013/03/04/blame-it-on-the-moon/ (Probably my favorite part of it: «I have said it before and I am not ashamed of my opinion, you don’t go to a comedy club and interrupt the regularly scheduled show to give a testimonial of your life and all the tragic details thereof. It is not what the customer paid for and they do not, just because they are within the same space as you, owe you audience, compassion, trust, and/or support.»)

I think I can blame Caitlin for this... :-) http://auryn-beorn.blogspot.com/2013/06/my-first-day-without-you.html (I've thought since ages about using SL to create these kind of stories, but never had time enough. She does it, almost daily, and it is so fun to read and see! I will for sure not be so prolific, but she sets a great example of what SL is good for... Your imagination!)

Interesting initiative: http://tosdr.org/

Remember when in March I bragged about having 20 wonderful and sunny degrees? It's payback time! (It burns! It burns! *runs to hide in the fridge*)

When you have nothing interesting to say... Make a compilation!

Ansel and I came the same year. The year of Zindra and the end of camping for money. That was the first time I heard "OMG! The Sky is falling!"
In SL, I'm older than him :-) (just a week)

I've just screamed at a Marketplace e-mail... in Spanish. No. Please, no.

Now this is a videogame I will enjoy (if the creator ever finishes it...) http://www.storyteller-game.com/p/about-storyteller.html
(I enjoy SL too, but in a different level. I'm not going to enter into the discussion of "Is SL a game?" Technically, it is. But then we could see RL as a game either. For some it sure seems so. Is it relevant anyway that SL is a game, or the relevant is what we make of it?)

I've been giving this some thought and yet some more practice, and I feel I can now conclude that needles and scissors aren't a good idea for removing blisters hiding under thick skin from your feet. You're welcome.

I've asked a customer FIVE times to please detail in a notecard the steps followed, expected outcome, actual outcome, so I could know what could have gone wrong in setting up a script. Instead of reading the documentation and then providing me an input that I could examine (really, I don't read minds), there have been attempts of getting me making the script to work (then why would I care in writing documentation?), insulting my work, etc, etc. I understand that one can feel frustrated, but why after all this, the rude person, is me? (This happens more often than what my doctor says I should put up with.)
