My SL Feed - December 2013

From First, to Last, all of my SL Feed posts from December 2013. Some of them have fun links :-)

There are moments in your life that make you feel you have to embark in a quest.
This was mine: http://auryn-beorn.blogspot.com/2013/12/auryns-quest-everything-about-bff.html (Inspiration sources are listed at the end.)

Size matters. That's how the snowglobe has LI 1 (I know: I have to add the snow inside.)

I hear that the little elves are almost ready for the Christmas Expo :-)

Spanning four sims, the SL Christmas Expo, in benefit of RFL, opens now. http://blacktulip-store.blogspot.com/2013/12/black-tulip-sponsor-of-sl-christmas.html

Interview today, at Noon. I may go for voice this time, despite of my terrible spoken English. My apologies in advance.

The Onion could have written this:
"To the National Security Agency analyst writing a briefing to his superiors, the situation was clear: their current surveillance efforts were lacking something. The agency's impressive arsenal of cable taps and sophisticated hacking attacks was not enough. What it really needed was a horde of undercover Orcs."

Brilliant.

The feed has been good to me this morning. Finally I have all the links I needed to retrieve for a little mischief. But I wanted to share this snapshot I found in the way. Thanks, Colleen, for that smile :-) (and the grin it put on my face when it came up on my screen.)

Black stockings with laced tops. Sheer lace panties. Garters. High heels. I'm laying on my back, in the couch at home. My back, arched, my head, tilted. My hair is flowing over my shoulders, barely reaching my collarbone. My hands are over my waist, one of my knees, bending up. Light is dim in the room, warm, thanks to the fireplace. And that's how you all will have to imagine my Topless Tuesday until the feed brings us back the pictures. Have a happy one :-)

Because of my being introvert, I rarely send PM's. However, since people are lately sending messages in public, it's only fair (haha) if I think loud voice.

Today I've had a nice lunch. I've prepared some sort of pastries, filled with tomato sauce, tuna and fresh corn, to accompany slices of grilled turkey. After that, while washing the dishes, it came to my mind an accusation that seems to be thrown when you don't fit into a sexist stereotype: "traitor to your gender." Whatever that means, it seems to be the worse you can do as a woman, and so you deserve to have denied any human right.

Inevitably, this question came to my mind: When a man trapped in a woman's body decides to take the step to transgender... Is that any kind of "treason", and deserving that same cruel punishment? Or you're not allowed to feel and think in certain non stereotyped ways only if you keep your female body?

I'm still thinking about, I'll let know of any conclusions I reach to :-)

I've finished adapting for web the "Creating HUDs - The builders part" class I used to teach: http://auryn-beorn.blogspot.com/2013/12/creator-resource-creating-huds-builders.html

It contains general information that may be useful whether you want to build a HUD for texture change, a meter, or an applier for hands/feet/etc.

PSA: If you have an e-mail account with GMail, and your offlines are sent to said account, check your spam folder. Since a few days ago (couple of weeks?), GMail is being quite stubborn about marking the offlines as spam.

If I had a penny each time I've read "I love people with sense of humor" in a profile and reality proved otherwise ("ban the joker!!!"), I'd be rich now (after converting currency, of course.)

The New Year begins to chase us (New Zealand is already there), and although I'd wish for "peace in the world" and all that, I've decided to ask for more sense of humor and rational arguments to the new year (suddenly, I see peace in the world closer in time.)

I also want to share another of our sayings, which I hope helps you when you have to decide if trusting someone/something in your life: FĂate de la Virgen... ¡Y no corras!

Happy New Year :o) (Or at least, have a not so bad year as 2013, if this was a bad one.)
